So I'm sure that some of you are familiar with the Shadowseer and his crazy awesome primaris power from phantasmancy. For those that aren't, it's a distance check on the Shadowseer and his unit. Roll 2d6 and sum the result. If you're in range, you can shoot. If not, too bad. Plus there are a number of good powers in the discipline, or he can just roll on telepathy. It goes without saying that at only 85 points for this ML2 psyker (or 60 for just the primaris from phantasmancy plus one roll on the table), he's ridiculously efficient.

It also goes without saying that the normal CAD/allies slot doesn't exist, so the tax for having such a unit in another army (non-harlequins) is very high. Has anyone found him to be effective enough? Ideally, I'd run one of the smaller formations but he loses his IC status for both the cast of players and the heroes' path. What have you guys been doing, if anything, for using him as an ally? Specifically I'm interested in Eldar
