This has been a bumper week for 40k new releases, with new campaign boxes and new Tau kits
Two new fire warrior kits have been released, with little change to the original except for some new (and quite ugly) heads.
The Strike Team and the Breacher Team both come with hefty £30 price tags but there is a cool missile thing tho.
Next is Infiltration Cadre Burning Dawn - the Tau campaign box with a rulebook and models (including a decent Ethereal - exclusive btw), the £65 price tag seems like good value.
The £85 Raven Guard box comes with a very nice exclusive SM Captain which can be painted in any colours - decent campaign sets overall, with special War Zone Damocles books.
However, both these kits have sold out within a day on GW and annoying SOLD OUT pics cover most of the model pictures.
There is also the Tau Tidewall Rampart kit. It is good to see GW making non-Imperial and Imperial with spikes on (Chaos) scenery, but this kit is basically a grav-barricade. Really ?! - the point of a barricade is to "to obstruct the passage of an enemy or opponent", according to The Free Dictionary. Not only does this barricade look bad with cheap plastic slot-in 'energy shields', it also leaves troops vulnerable from behind. Barricades are supposed to STOP troops getting behind...
Comments or pictures of painted models would be appreciated!

The Firewarrior-set includes the new turret and has more droneoptions with it.
I'm kinda shocked about the pricetag for the breachers and the FW. I wanted to buy some breachers, but for 40 € each? 25-30 was already incredbile pricy in my eyes, but 40?! And i wanted to kitbash them with Militarum Tempestus Scions (27 € each). That would be close to 100 € just to get 10 kitbashed breachers. Damn GW you scary.

They really really have to consider their price policy, because right now, i wont buy any of these sets.
Also, I have to think about how to get these turrets, but since i kitbash everything anyway, I probably will just buy some tarantulas from Forgeworld and model them into something similar.

Edit: Forget about the tarantulas. I won't pay 25 €+shipping for a single tarantular.

It's a barricade, not a trench. The best way to get the guys behind an aegis defense line is to get behind them too. I think it looks neat.

I feel like the Firewarriors box should be $40, same as the Tactical squad box. When regular troops kits you need a bunch of cost $50 a pop, that's starting to really push it.

Also those big campaign box sets don't seem to save you a penny. I did the math on the Imperial one and I think it comes out to $20 for the captain and otherwise it's the same. There's some value in whatever books and campaign stuff is included in there if you're interested though.
