The boards seem to have gone quiet, so I was wondering what everyone is up to? And fun events, tournaments, OP events, interesting pick up games, or even some scenarios? Any interesting rules changes or Card Combos? Break the Silence People!

Sorry, it's mid terms at University for me. Plus, no ships since the Delta Flyer have really "Wow'ed" me in the release waves. The OP Blind Ships haven't shown up yet, and all the local stores are waiting for those before picking up events again.

Plus, next week is the release of Halo 5, Star Wars Battlefront, Starcraft II expansion, then a couple weeks later Fallout 2. There was also a big patch that hit Mech Warrior Online a couple days ago that has changed PUGs dramatically, I just unlocked Master Status on my Timber Wolves, two new characters just got released for Hero's of the Storm, and then there is the All Hallows Eve event going on in WoW and another big patch coming soon. The new Tau Codex is about to drop, along with the sweet, sweet Stormtide Terrain kit, Ghostkeel, and new Fire Warrior Breacher squads.

Oh, and I got my election ballot in the mail for some local elections, so I gotta do some research before voting.

The ASUWSU Cougar Veterans are running a charity booth for Halloween and I'm involved with that...

Finally, I'm a speaker for the student body and local civic leaders on Veteran's Day at my university, so I have to write a speech for that... damn, after writing that all out I'm a busy guy!

Damn... You are busy. I just keep the forum's open on a tab while I am at work, so the silence is defining for me, especially since my access to google drive was recently severed (something about a security risk...), I kind of have next to nothing to do in the down time now...

I'm going to a Balance of Terror OP event this weekend. I have no clue what I will bring and will probably decide right before going.

I pretty much lost all interest in the game. Just gotta find someone to buy my stuff. Got most of the tournament ships from Season 1: Anything Romulan, Klingon or Federation.

I have been at a conference for the past week and my phone gets 0 signal in the building . After tonight I am back to my regular work, but I have a lot of paperwork and personnel crap to deal with when I get back. I am supposed to go to a Temporal Cold War OP this weekend, but I may just be too tired. I'm not sure how they are going to handle it though, from what I read the blinds don't come out until the 28th but I've been out of the loop for a week. I'm mto at least get some casual games in this weekend, Packers have a bye so I need something to do

My FLGS is taking forever to get their new OP Kits in, but they are ordered!

In the mean time I think I am going to continue working on a narrative story line.

I am tracking faction wins, to build up to a specific scenario BIG game, like 4 vs 4 scenario.

The first game was 50 points, no ship with a hull of more than 3. Great fun, the idea was that you had to beam away teams to the surface to examine ancient ruins for clues to the hidden technology. I am debating doing a 90 point, 2 ship minimum, no hull 5 or more next round.

I just got off the phone with the venue running TCW this weekend. They don't have the blinds yet so it will be a 120 point event. I will probably go as long as I'm not exhausted. No clue what I'll fly, I glanced mat the rules a few days ago, but can't really remember what its about. I'm more interested in the blinds than the Xindi, but I'm sure I'll come up with something.

Really lagging behind with the OP's. The next one my local is doing is Q3!

Kinda hoping they get a couple in before xmas to catch up a bit.

Really waiting on the blind boosters to appear now, the last couple of retail previews haven't got me excited.

So, after looking over the rules for the Temporal Cold War OP 1, I have to say, this one is REALLY Stupid...

Here: "At the end of the game, the player whose opponent's ship was the closest ship to the Planet Token when it explodes, gains +20 Fleet Points."

WHY is it so blasted convoluted. Why not "Each time a weapon is fired while within range 1-2 of the planet, that player takes a mission token. Once all mission tokens are taken, the colony is destroyed. At the end of the game, each player gains +5 points for each token on his opponents side."

Keep it simple!

I haven't seen the Ent episode this OP is based off of, but I suspect it has something to do with the ship that is closest to the planet when it blows takes the blame for the destruction of the atmosphere.

I actually liked this one. It was fun setting up my opponents to get hit by the blast. I would have liked it more if the blast started to build again after the first time. It was much better than the OPs where the board is doing a better job at destroying you than your opponent

I can agree to that. our shops haven't gotten he kits yet. I just disliked the way the rule was worded: it looks purpose built to cause confusion.

I used to play this game a lot, have basically stopped because of frustration over the really bad writing quality and ever-growing balance issues.

Moving into new house that needs a gak ton of work.......both awesome and sucks.

Temporal Cold War OP1 for me this weekend. My store supposedly has the blinds available. Should be fun. I don't know what to take. I won the last two OPs at the store and really don't feel like bringing the heat. Trying for something more casual/thematic rather than super combos.

Well I have 3 OPs at the end of the month so hopefully I will get my hands on some of those cool blind boosters I have a battle report from a while ago I have been trying to type up, but work and kids are giving me much time these days Not a lot going on this weekend so I may be able to talk the wife into a casual game. My main AW buddy is building up points with his wife to go to our next OP, so I'm sure he is out for any gaming this weekend.

I have Temporal Cold War 1 next week, trying out a two ship build with Voyager and the Reliant.

The Reliant ends up throwing 5 or 6 attack dice, Voyager throws 4 or 5, and both have at least 2 defense dice and 5+ shields.
