My LGS is currently getting a Kill Team up and running, and they're going to be doing a campaign ala Mordheim. My question is, which would be a better/funner Kill Team army to run at 250 points, my Dark Angels, or Orks?

Orks!

Orks are always the fun choice.

250pts of Orks can go pretty far. Some very good options there regarding weapons too. Very few boring choices you're stuck with. Throw in a Boss Nob in each squad and it's as if you have 'boss creatures' for the enemy Kill Team to fight too.

Right on. Definitely thinking Orks because of how few Ork players there are. I'll post two lists and let Dakka decide

As others have said, Orks are pretty fun with their variety of choice for units and weapons.

250 points of nearly purely boyz is also frequently a powerful list in Kill Team, as you don't suffer Mob Rule, and have tons of models that can kill nearly anything. I personally love taking Burna Boyz in a Trukk with a mob of boyz alongside them. Gives a great mix of speed and mobbing. Are you allowed Specialists?

codex inquisition is a fun place to build a kill team. The various henchman can do pretty much anything, there generally cheap and its pretty fluffy. Plus being able to fight individually helps a lot of the combat models.

I was going with armies I have/like. Inquisition is okay, but never really clicked with me.

Are you following some different army composition method? There's a lot of things wrong with the Ork list. Assuming you're using the Kill Team rules I'm familiar with where you still have to buy minimum sized squads, this list is at least 350 points - not 250. It also has Heavy Support choices, which I don't believe are allowed in Kill Team, and I have no idea how the Boss Nob of a unit of Boyz was given Mega Armour.

However, if you're following different army composition methods, then you can ignore this post. In that case, is there a link you can provide to the rules you are using?

It's fairly hard to help with rules for killteam lists specifically given there are dozens of different versions and homebrew redos. For my group, for example, the rule is one model from Troop, Elite, and Fast attack minimum and then go wild but no model above Toughness 5 or combines AV over 33. So no Nurgle biker lords or lemun russ's in the fight

Ah, definitely, that would be more helpful. Derp. Here's a link to what we're going to be using.

http://heralds-of-ruin.blogspot.com/p/kill-team-rules.html

The Ork army is definitely changed, a unit of Boys is only 5, a Loota is an individual unit, and several things are shuffled.

Essentially, army composition is

1 Team Leader model 1-30 Core models 0-5 Special models .

I would suggest orks as well. I'll also add that I like your list. Quite nice.

Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum

At 250 points? 5 Destroyers and a Heavy Destroyer.
