Very snazzy. Not so into the game that I'd want them, but they're pretty damn nice looking.

Can't see the images. Anything linked to from FFG's site is blocked at work. Can someone re-host them?

Huh. I guess it saves wear on your dials, but $10 each is kind of ridiculous. Maybe it's not terrible if you usually fly the same 2-3 ships, but it's going to be expensive and/or inconvenient otherwise. And in higher-level play I can't say I'm a fan of how it lets a careful observer figure out at least the general area of the dial that you're choosing from.

How does it do that?

Do what, reveal your maneuver? The back of the dial is no longer a plain featureless circle, it has distinct sides. And if you watch carefully you can see what general area of the circle your opponent's finger is on when they set the indicator piece. Unless the indicator piece is fixed and you rotate the cardboard (which looks kind of award if that's the case, since there's less surface area to grab)? It's not going to tell you exactly what maneuver your opponent has set, but it can at least tell you "they're rotating to the bottom side, that means a mid-speed maneuver". And if you're trying to figure out if they're going to do a short maneuver to avoid overshooting or a long k-turn to come in behind you then that's vital information.

I actually have no idea what you're seeing Peregrine, maybe my brain has gone on half term holiday already.

“Good people are quick to help others in need, without hesitation or requiring proof the need is genuine. The wicked will believe they are fighting for good, but when others are in need they’ll be reluctant to help, withholding compassion until they see proof of that need. And yet Evil is quick to condemn, vilify and attack. For Evil, proof isn’t needed to bring harm, only hatred and a belief in the cause.”

Yeah, I don't see it either.

Also, you rotate the cardboard disk just like the command dials in Armada (in fact, these are just larger and fancier Armada command dials).

Also it's $10 for 3 dials, so it's not so bad if you fly certain ships regularly. I already have storage issues though, so as much as I like these, I doubt I'll be picking them up.

I don't play Armada, but I've been told that it is easy to change out the dials.
That being said... I doubt that I'll spend $60 to have 6 of each for each faction. I certainly won't spend the money to get 1 of each for every ship I own (that would be well over $250 right now) Much like the upgraded flight stands, they seem to be too little too late for this particular customer.

I'll end up getting some because I have no willpower when it comes to buying gak for X-Wing.

I tend to favor Imperial three ship builds and Rebel two ship builds. I don't fly a lot of Scum, but when I do it's usually not more than three ships. One pack of each will be enough for me.

Still haven't actually seen them. Work computer won't let me see the FFg site, neither will android.

I *knew* I should have gotten a Windows phone...

I'll pick some up just because they look kinda cool. Although I don't have many ships to get them for, that will change shortly I'm sure.

Seems rather impractical to me. Plus having to separate the dials of the ships you already own... Ouch...

Meh. I'm ok with just adding washers to the dials to prevent them from rubbing.

It's cute. I'd rather they focus on releasing more ships, but ancillary purchase options are always nice too. And it's note like they are mandatory to play the game. Is dial wear an issue?

You needn't worry, they have future waves already planned out far in advance.

Yes, especially for the people that have been playing since release. My first TIE Advanced dial that I got in 2012 is pretty worn out. It's nowhere near what Paul Heaver's dials look like though:

Just look at Paul Heaver's dials, specifically the Y-wing.. You can see the edges of his Y-wing dial are completely worn down compared the Wade's new dials. Look at the top of the video about 14 minutes in.

I would probably get one for my imperial raiders but I can't see myself getting them for my entire fleet.
