Right now, my army consists of just the models that came with the AoS Starter Set. Would Judicators be a good addition? I just really like the models, so I was wondering if they are actually worthwhile on the table as well.

Thanks in advance

Hello,

A good way to know what to buy, is to have a look at te warscrolls you want to play.

Generally speaking, judicators can't be wrong, since you have almost no other range attack unit.

Personally, I bought 2 boxes or judicators to complete my syborn slayers

They are very worthwhile, especially if you want to do a Stormcast-only army, since you need units that can pick off buff-givers and other support models hiding behind units. They can also take out some wounds on monsters before they come crashing down on your battle lines.

Judicators are great, your only really strong missile troop.

I picked up two boxes of Judicators and a Lord Celestant to add to my Stormcast army. Attilla is right about using the ranged attacks to help take monsters down a few hits before going toe to toe in combat.

I have a box of Judicators that I built as bows and used them a couple of times, they did pretty good.

However I usually choose dual hammer Prosecutors over them when im looking for some ranged help, mainly due to the extra charge range and mobility they provide.

Some time I want to pick up another box and build a unit of Crossbolt gunners then place them behind a unit of Liberators to see how that goes

Judicators are a decent choice for a Sigmarite army. Looking at their stats I would recommend taking the bows over the crossbows. Purely because if you're in crossbow range the enemy is in easy charge range.

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes

Space Marine flyers are shaped for the greatest possible air resistance so that the air may never defeat the SPACE MARINES!
Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum

Well for crossbows, you could just hide them behind a unit of Paladins. Put them both in tight line formation without gaps and put the crossbows in base to base with the Paladins. If someone charges you they have to go through your Paladins.
