This is my second miniature I have painted and completed. Alongside the pathfinders with cloaks.

Please give any feedback or criticism on the cloak/model.

Overall I am fairly pleased with how it turned out however I think I might snip the left side as you look at front of the model. This is to tidy up the hood and make it flow better.

I wanted it to look like Darkstrider had just pounced from hiding and was sliding down the rock.

He is designed to match my capes pathfinders

Yea I thought that myself the left side is especially bad and a bit bit bulky on his head. Hard to arrange stuff when its superglue. Don't wanna stick the model to my hand!

Nice work, I just posted my ghillie suit for my space marine scout.

How did you make yours?

1. Firstly I snipped down a woodelf cloak and applies if to the model backwards so it swung out instead of wrapping round.

2. Using plasterboard gauze I a stuck one layer to the cloak. It is like a bandage/medical gauze but it is much tougher and one side is sticky.

3. Using a product called locktite (redtube, string like product) pull a bit out and snap it on the edge of the container. Superglue it to the model. Repeat until you are satisfied with the small ghillie effect.

4. Primer and paint.

It is much easier then the paper towel and pva glue method. Both products are very cheap and you basically get a life time supply for the models. If you don't like the result simply snip the gauze away from the cloak and start again.
