So I am going up against my dad who has been playing since 1st edition for a super competitive game. And I have only been playing since the start of 7th edition. This is for a bet so this game is super competitive. I need a really competitive Necron list for 1850. I wanna run the Decurion for the majority of the list if I can. The models I have access to are as follows:

1 Overlord, 1 Lord, 2 Crypteks, 1 Destroyer Lord, 1 Catacomb Command Barge, 40-50 Warriors, 20 Immortals, 5 Deathmarks, 1 Triarch Stalker, 6 Wraiths, 10-20 Scarabs, 5 Tomb Blades, 1 Night Scythe, 1 Ghost Ark, 8 Destroyers, 1 Spyder, 1 Heavy Destroyer, 1 Monolith, 1 Annihilation Barge, 1 Doomsday Ark, 1 Imotekh The Stormlord.

I am not allowed to go Unbound. My dad is running an Ad Mech/Skitarii List with 1-2 Knights. He is also running some regular Skitarii, the Infiltrators, the Grav Gun guys, the spider walker thing, the tall 2 legged walker, and the priest dude that gives out all the buffs. Also some other things that i do not know yet. He knows a lot about Necrons and as you can probably tell I know nothing about his. Remember I need the most competitive anti-fun list you guys can give me. I would also like some tactics on how to beat his stuff if at all possible. Thanks guys!

Sounds like your Dad might be running 'war convocation list'

Which if that is the case he will have 1 knight, at 1850pts he won't be able to fit more.

If not, he might have 2 knights, but not much else past that (would only have about 1k pts left)

I would consider a decurion with a harvest and destroyer battalion.

I agree with most of blaktoof's suggestions, but there are a couple of modifications I suggest.

First, drop the ccb and take a stock overlord. Make the destroyer lord your warlord, and pimp him out with a war scythe/void reaper, phase shifter, and maybe a phylactery. Don't take mindshackle scarabs, they were god tier last edition but fear in a challenge isn't very good, especially since iirc, ad mech/skitarri have almost no characters.

Take a unit of deathmarks to go with the d lord, when they deep strike they'll be wounding on 2s rerolling, and your d lord can split off afterwards to get into cc.

Drop the ghost ark, it's a great unit but with it being the only armor on the table, and your dad having an imperial knight, it will get popped really quickly.

If you can get any more models before the game, get another spyder and another ghost ark. 2 min canoptek harvests is far better than one large one, and a second ghost ark is essential and will be very effective.

After some quick number crunching, here's a list based on my recommendations.

This list is just begging for another spyder, which would allow you to run 2 harvests at exactly 1850 pts.

I would recommend running the 2 harvests
