Hey guys/Gals
looking at picking up the new codex and am a bit confused as to which one i need to buy?
the "new" updated codex tau empire says it has the new experemental suits and the Kanyon set has weird things too. the Datacards for the Tau say they include the 6 special objectives that are in the Tau codex. will i miss out on any formations or rules if i just buy the codex, or (bacause i have the Tau current codex) should i just buy the Kanyon set and it will all be in there?
TL R do i need to buy both or just one?
Thanks in advance

Kayon would be the better one to get and use it with your old one.
If you don't have an old dex the new one would be the one to get.

Why is the Kayon book better if you have the old Tau Codex? What Tau specific stuff does it contain that the new codex does not? It is a more expensive stuff and I heard it contains some Raven Guard and White Scars stuff but, I just want the Tau stuff. Is the Kayon book still better?

Kayoun has a "patch notes" of the codex from 6th to 7th, and the datasheets of all new stuff.
In addition, it has the damocles fluff/missions (previously on warzone damocles apocalypse book, but the new book goes a bit further down the time line), and rules for the raven guard and the white scars.

can neither confirm nor deny I lost track of what I've got right now. |

If you don't care about the campaign in the Kauyon book (which you pay an extra $25 for), get the codex. If you want to save even more money ($15) get the e-codex from the black library

Correct. If you get the codex you miss out on the Tidewall rules that aren't in the box. Some additional ways to set it up ect.
Warzone Kauyon gets you everything.
