I looked at the 3rd edition Codex: Space Marines (got a cheap copy online) and noticed a picture I remember I loved simply because it looked fluffy and iconic. It was a Crimson Fists Rhino, Razorback and Predator in a convoy formation on a small ridge and it's got me thinking.

It's not competitive at all, but imagine making this your own formation. Not with the silly buffs, just take these units as part of a CAD and make them work together. There are so many options for the vehicles, you can optimise them for anti-vehicle, anti-infantry or balanced, and the contents can be whatever you want (for me two tactical squads, one with ten and one with six or maybe a six-man assault squad).

So, your challenge is to create a fluffy or soundly tactical formation with units that work well together without the buffs you get nowadays for formations. It should be non-competitive but good enough that you would field it in your army. Some additional notes on how you would use it would be appreciated.

I know the perfect one.

Take whatever you want as long as it is fluffy and you enjoy playing it. This can even include other detachments and or formations.

Command benefits: None.
