My girlfriend plays Lizardmen and absolutely hates the slann mage priest model, she also doesnt like losing all the time because she lacks any power in the magic phase, I've been trying to find a good proxy for her to use, but havent had much luck. I'm trying to find a quetzalcoatl or aztec serpent looking model that could fit on the same size base. Have you guys seen anything like that?

Make a hypno toad. Cheap and easy plus could look cool with the right paint job.

I would, but I'm terrible at sculpting.... and she actually made me a hypnotoad model for my birthday, its a little too large for a slann though

Just buy a toy toad and repaint it. No need for anything fancy, would will be surprised what a paint job can do for a toy.

You could try an actual frog or toad, with a bit of taxidermy and drying. Not sure how easy to pose it would be
