Like the title says...Is it possible to put the Black Templar Emperor's Champion in an Honor Guard squad as a force's HQ? Or is it considered cheese?

I don't know...Just curious...I'm building a Celestial Lion's army and am wondering if an Emperor's Champion with an Honor Guard would even be possible as an Allied force. It feels fluffy to me, and I was curious if that combo was even allowed since the Codex says the Honor Guard usually accompany a Chapter Master.

I thought about dropping in a tooled up honor guard unit with relic blades as a blender. But 2+ with no invuln is hard to deal with. One chaos vindicator shot or an executioner leman russ and the unit is gone.

Expensive points-wise too. But hey, I like the feel of tooled-up marines. Go all out and drop in a chaplain! If they survive after the turn they drop in, they'll be sure to rip +tear

Well there's no chaplain, but I went in with what models I had lying around and what I could proxy. Try this out and see if you like it. Other options for this include dropping the land raiders for drop pods and adding more Crusader units and a TFC.

Isn't the Emperor's Champion unique as in you can only take one in your army?
