First draft idea for a daemon engine heavy list.

Contemptor with legacy of first war of Armageddon boosts invun.

Herald sorcerer and possessed in a dreadclaw for proper punching (yes even added more and the banner to make sure ). Sorcerer rolls maelific to be a technomancer and add summoning and hopefully cursed earth support (yes he'll perils, oh well).

Why not take the allies as Crimson Slaughter? Give the sorceror Prophet Of The Voices and he can use malefic daemonology with limited risk.

Yeah I wanted to do that, but it specifies crimson slaughter possessed. So lame. They'll be crimson slaughter anyway for the free fear.

Hi Captyn_bob. I too am a big fan of daemon engines, but I have been struggling a little to get them to work. Especially maulerfiends. I have one of 2 days with them. Day 1 is that they get ignored turn one due to other rather large threats on the board and they then get to wreck face. Or day 2 whereby they're wrecked turn one and I've wasted 260 points. I like your Maulerfiend saturation. Should make it easier to get a few across the board. And I've started using that same legacy since you suggested it a few weeks back. The problem I'm having is putting it on a platform that's sturdy enough to stay alive and make use of it, but that's also quick enough to keep up with the maulers. I'm struggling. I'm wondering if chaos knights can take legacies?

Chaos knights can take legacies if in a chaos marine list (debatable if they can take them if they take the daemon upgrade , I would say Not.)

A chaos knight would be the perfect host for this idea. The contemptor in this list is just the poor man's version.

It is indeed. I was trying to work out where I'd get the points from in your list. I originally thought about dropping a Maulerfiend and the spawn. Use the other maulers to bubble wrap the knight. Not sure how effective it would be.

A bit of tweaking to taste. Decided that 30ppm is just too much for extra possessed. Turned the sorc into Mr punchy with horns and a chainfist.

Had some points so added a shooty unit. Feels wrong.. surely can do better.
