Hello.

Firstly, I am about five editions removed from playing last, and came across a good deal for three used armies (Marines, Chaos, and Tyranids). I am now looking to fill out the three forces to be competitive with people after I get the hang of the rules, and with a few dozen or so losses under my belt. I am going to start asking about the Astartes force first.

I am looking to fill out the the space marines and wanted to know what I should get

The current marines I have are as follows, they are unpainted:

1 captain in power armour
1 captain in terminator armour
1 chaplain
2 librarians
2 tactical sqauds of 10
1 assault squad of 10
4 ranged terminator squads of 5
1 bike squad of 6
2 close combat dreadnaughts

my budget for fixing it up is probably looking to spend $200 or so more on the secondary market

thanks for the consideration in reading

Just as a basic and pretty necessary filler I would say pick up some transports. Rhino/Razorback/Drop Pods depending on how you want to field those marines.

You can typically find loads of used general transports around Ebay or Craigslist and the like.

Also, look into some of the new Codex: Space Marine formations if you want to be competitive.

First of all, transports.
Centurions, sternguard, thundefire cannons and stormtalons are the most efficient units right now
