Hey guys/girls, whats up?

I'm about to clash into some orks next week and because this is my first real game with my new bought Dark Eldar against Orks,
I would really like to see some useful tips on how to stop the green tide.

The Odd point number is a result of my opponent not having enough models yet to proxy-free play games above that value.
(Neither do I, as long as i don't prox/ally with my Eldar).

I've got some basic stuff (everything collecting-in-progress):
- 2x10 Kabalites in different variations regarding special/heavy weapons.
- 1x Raider
- 2x Venoms
- Some random kitbashed model to field as a Lhaeman.
- Archon
- 10 Wracks
- 3 Reavers

As for my Eldar (which I bought from a friend, so not too much variation here as well):
- 2x10 Guardians with 2 platforms (altough I converted some of them to Dire avengers and Fire Dragons)
- 6 Converted and 5 original Dire Avengers
- 5 converted Fire Dragons
- 1 Wave Serpent (which can be fielded as another tank as well, because they all look pretty much the same)
- Autarch
- Eldrad
- Farseer
- 5 Wraithguard

My opponent mainly fields sluggaboyz, meganobz, a deffdread, some killakanz, and maybe some stormboyz and deffkoptas.
(As well as the obligatory trukk/battlewagon)
His main HQ is Ghazkull.

So, any tips on what to build?

Ghazzy is not HQ - He's LOW. And one of the worst in the game.

If he's using Ghaz in a 600 point game, don't worry about tactics lol.

Looks like you're going to be defensive, having mainly ranged units against melee. Stick to the flanks; make it unclear where he should focus his troops. Hopefully he splits them up. If so, turbo-boost one side of your army away when Orks get near, and have 100% of your troops converge on 50% of your opponent's. Don't give him the fair fight; Dark Eldar are the single worst army outside Harlequins when it comes to wars of attrition.

Reavers can sneak around the back and hit some vehicles in the rear with Caltrops and maybe a Heat Lance. I'd consider leaving the Archon at this point level, having two units of Warriors with Blasters in Venoms, and a 10-strong unit of Wracks in the Raider. Give them Ossefactors and have butcher tough units like the Meganobz. For HQ, grab the Llamean and have her walk onto some isolated part of the battlefield from Reserves.

You may struggle with the walkers. Get all the blasters you can and consider a Dark Lance on the Raider. I'd probably go with either a box of Scourge or a Ravager as your next purchase to cover up that deficiency.

Good luck!

Regarding the Ghazgull option: I don't think he will bring him honestly, I didn't know he costs that much and is a LOW choice when I posted this.

And as a reply to the above mentioned tactic, sounds pretty good to me.
I will probably buy scourges first, because I really like them fluff wise and regarding their options.

So here's my final list:
HQ - Lhaeman
Elites - 10 Wracks
- 2 Ossefactors
- Acothyst upgrade (he's my warlord) with agonizer and liquifier gun
- Raider with Dark Lance, Nightshields, Chainsnares and Torment Grenade Launcher
Troops - 2x5 Kabalites with Blaster in a DSC (Double Splinter Cannon) Venom
Fast Attack - 3 Reaver Jetbikes with 1 Clustercaltrops and 1 Heatlance

I don't know if it is a good idea to use the Acothyst as my WL, but i thought it to be much more useful if he happens to roll something like Fear(-less)-bubble,
which would be pretty useless on my lhaeman, as she cannot join any squad due to the lack of transport capacity.
And the acothyst has a slightly higher chance of surviving and actually killing something with his liquifier, T4 and 2(3) attacks base, as well as stock FnP.

What's left of Cadia

Your buddy can just run Ghaz as a warboss in mega armor if he wants too, it's what most orks players I know do.

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes
TheEyeOfNight- "Ordo Xenos reports that the Necrons have attained democracy, kamikaze tendencies, and nuclear fission. It's all tits up, sir."
Space Marine flyers are shaped for the greatest possible air resistance so that the air may never defeat the SPACE MARINES!
Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum
