I am discussing with a friend of mine about Codex Armageddon and Codex Eye of Terror originally published for 3rd edition: I think it will be wonderful if GW re-releases these books for 7th edition, maybe with demi-company detachment for Black Templars and Salamanders, the Speed Freaks Orks, but mostly for the Lost and the dammed Imperial Guard and the 13Th Space Wolves company.
This idea came up from the fact the Damocles Gulf campaign is not new, but it is allready included in a Imperial Armour book.
For who doesn't know about these campaigns, they are global events made by GW during 3rd edition of 40k and they are covered by 2 supplements: 1 for Black Templar (the original army list), Salamanders and Speed Freaks during the 3rd war for Armageddon; The other for Lost and Dammed Imperial Guard, Cadian Imperial Guard, Ulthwé Strike Force (an all foot army of mostly Guardians with the gate portal) and the once lost 13th Space Wolves great company made of Wulfen space marines during the battle for Cadia in the last minutes of 40k millenium.

Honestly they seem more like the kind of books Forgeworld would do now, with campaign systems, multiple army lists and the like. Forgeworld's done a bunch like that, although I love those old books too.

I know one player who would be suuuuuper psyched if they returned the lost and the damned to usability. He was so crushed when all his carefully built models were invalidated and he had to treat them as 'just guard"

Hold out bait to entice the enemy. Feign disorder, and then crush him.

What's left of Cadia

I would love it if Codex: Armageddon and Eye of Terror made a comeback. I've heard a fair bit about both of those books and would be psyched if they made a come back

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes
TheEyeOfNight- "Ordo Xenos reports that the Necrons have attained democracy, kamikaze tendencies, and nuclear fission. It's all tits up, sir."
Space Marine flyers are shaped for the greatest possible air resistance so that the air may never defeat the SPACE MARINES!
Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum

Aren't lost and the damned in the most recent IA chaos book? They are just now called renegades.

No idea. I don't do Forge World.

You should. There are 2 lost and damned army lists, one in IA 13 and the other in new varks
Both are freaking good. (I prefer the varks one, but it's khorne and nurgle only)

And by good I mean they can stand up to the top tier armies. They got some brutal options, and debatefully the most versatile army lists in the game.

can neither confirm nor deny I lost track of what I've got right now.

I think the most disappointed players were those with the 13th Great Company, when the new Codex came out and they Wulfen became useless.
