After building some Liberators started looking for a more interesting, non golden scheme and ended up with either Hammers of Heldenhammer (the black ones) or Astral Templars. While the black ones are pretty easy, I can't figure out what sort of paint was used for those brownish(?) templars. Any ideas? :| While the first one is clearly brownish, the second one seems to be more pinkish. The closest to what I found is either Screamer Pink or Rhinox Hide. I wonder, could it be one of those two? Say, Rhinox Hide with a specific wash? Screamer Pink with some brown added to it?

Seems to me it is a combination of purple hues.

The black rage is within us all. Lies offer no shield against the inevitable. You speak of donning the black of duty for the red of brotherhood; but it is the black of rage you shall wear when the darkness comes for you.

Yeah, I guess I will just have to buy all the colours in that similar range and try mixing/playing with washes/glazes.

On a bright screen, to me the first image is very purple, not brown. Plum, I think is the word.
Looks like built up glazes to me, but I'm not up to date with the new paint range names.

Now that You've mentioned it...looked up for some color pictures on google...Indeed, it's very similar to plum. Or plum/merlot. With some shading/glazing, as You've also mentioned.

Personally I'd start from a very very dark red base and work up from there with the purple glazes. Keep a warmth beneath the dark shade.

But I could very much be wrong.

Looks similar enough, imo.

Again, with some washes/mixing, maybe.
