Does anyone know of a good tutorial for etching/engraving 40k models? Also, tools that are good for it.

I'm planning on using the new HH set models to build a Word Bearer force and I'd like to etch in runes into their armor rather than paint it.

As a Word Bearers player I can tell you that etching runes is very annoying.

I personally use a regular craft-knife to cut my guide lines and then just stick the blade in and wiggle it slightly to widen it so it becomes more visible. Also helps if you heat up the blade slightly with a candle.

3000pts Blood Angels (4th Company) - 2000pts Skitarii (Voss Prime) - 2500pts Imperial Knights (Unnamed House) - 1000pts Imperial Guard (Household Retainers)

2000pts Free Peoples (Edlynd Fusiliers) - 2000pts Kharadron Overlords (Barak Zilfin) - 500pts Ironweld Arsenal (Edlynd Ironwork Federation) - 1000pts Duardin (Grongrok Powderheads)

Wargaming's no fun when you have a plan!
