Hey all! I am constructing a non competitive list for battle games with my friends, and possibly to take to a game store around here. When I say "non competitive", I mean not an actual tournament list but my friends and I like to be competitive, so I want the list to be good .

Slannesh Lord - 80
Sorc- 60
Sorc- 60

Elite
Slannesh Sonic Dreadnought, warp amp, BM, missiles, 190
Slannesh Sonic Dreadnought, warp amp, missiles, BM, 190
Ferrum Infernus Dread, chainfist, lord of long war, icon, heavy flamer, 195

Troops
5 noise Marines with BM, 125
5 noise Marines with BM, 125
5 noise Marines with BM, 125

Fast
5 Raptors 2x melta Combi melta - 125

Heavy
3x Heavy Conversion Raiper Weapon Battery - 225

Chaos Sicaran - 135

Fire Raptor Gunship with Reaper - 210

1845

My idea is to just chill back and shoot anything that moves. The 48" range of the 7 Blastmaster shots and the 24-48" range of the conversion beamers lets me punish with blast templates from a distance. The Ferrum Dread is the melee work horse, the extra upgrades add just a splash of fun if a daemon prince is able to explode out of him. Raptors dart around where needed with the meltas. Sicaran and the Gunship laying a ton of str 7 and 8 shots should be nice for taking out a variety of targets. Lords are essentially there for requirements. I normally like to trick my lords out but things seemed to take a different turn this time around haha.

My buddies that I play with (unless I ever decide to leave my basement and go find a 40k night at a hobby store around here :S..) use Tau, Eldar, Necron, and Tyranid, so I am just trying to keep that in mind as I build this list, plus we usually just play until we either are dead or the guy gives up, so im not super worried about objectives. Anyways, tell me what you think.
Cheers!

I'm wondering what your plans is for the sorcerers. In a blastmaster heavy list like this marking them with slaanesh for the amp boosting powers might now be a bad idea. Don't remember the range on the powers though

Hey thats not a bad idea. The sorcs are there for the infernal relic rule which states that I need to have a sorc, warpsmith or daemon prince for every model with infernal relic after the first, (the sicaran, gunship and ferrum dread). The slannesh powers are actually pretty good, the basic one being 24" assualt 4, concussive, blinding, and pinning. The one i want for the blastmasters is also 24".. hmmm.. I am going to keep that in mind and do some tinkering. Thanks!!

Just some food for thought. I personally hate taking requirements just because they're required. Other than that the list looks solid enough. How are the sonic dreads treating you?

Yeah you cant take an allied detachment of the same faction, so you'll need another troops choice or to drop one of your HQ's.

But you can ally with supplements so perhaps Crimson Slaughter might be of use. I always say that the bale star is a neat toy.

I heard otherwise, but if that's true then cool
