Here's my Blindwater blood bowl team (lizardmen- although I think they might be getting a more angelic title soon anyway).

I had posted some of these before, but I never got around to posting the finished team. So, here they are:

While I am not a huge fan of the sculpts on the smaller gators, your paint jobs look really good!

Never seen these before. Were they an official citadel release? Great painting!

No, they aren't from Citadel.

It wasn't long after GW stopped fully supporting Blood Bowl that the BB community started going elsewhere for their stuff. And since GW can't own "fantasy football miniatures" there are a lot of nice options out there.

These guys are from Impact! Miniatures. They did a whole gator team that fit the bill for Lizardmen (and could also be played with Impact's Elfball rules).

The guy that runs Impact! was part of the rules committee that wrote the current version of the Blood Bowl Rulebook (with Jervis Johnson). It really is a shame that they can't buy the rights to start making the game themselves.

But who knows? Maybe GW will make good on that new edition of Blood Bowl that's been rumored for the past decade.

Lovely, but where are the rest of the teams? More Sauruses, more skinks! Bring a group photo.

I think Blood Bowl works very well even if GW has the rights and doesn't support it. Living Rulebook continues to evolve and 3rd party minis are flourishing.

I don't have a group shot at the moment.

I'm not sure why, but I don't have all four sauruses photographed right now- I've only painted the starting lineup, the rest of them will get painted as the team acquires them.

As for Blood Bowl- it is a fantastic game, and it is a wonder that GW does not support it. There are small companies devoted to creating Blood Bowl minis.

Don't know why, but a fat crocodile makes me laugh. Great work. The paint job is exquisite.

Thanks. The fat one makes me happy too.

By the look of things, GW might be re-introducing Blood Bowl soon (they've announced it as part of their 'new' specialist game design range).

We'll see what that actually ends up meaning. What they really need to do is make a new box set with much better plastic minis, as well as new minis for each of the existing teams.

I hope it doesn't just mean that they'll be doing the 1993 minis in finecast. They can do so much better than that.
