Hey there, looking for all comments and criticisms on my army list as I will be playing two games this Thursday. One will be against tyranids and the other against space maries. Looking to build a bit of a TAC list with a speed freak feel.
HQ:
Warboss - 130
MA, DLS, BP
Painboy - 100
bike, PK
Troops:
12 'ard boyz in a trukk - 195
nob, PK, BP
Trukk: reinforced ram
12 'ard boyz in a trukk - 195
nob, PK, BP
Trukk: reinforced ram
18 Slugga boyz - 283
nob, PK
Battlewagon: Kannon, 3 rokkits, reinforced ram
10 Gretchen - 35
runtherd
Fast Attack:
9 warbikers - 202
nob, PK, BP
Deffcopta - 30
TL rokkit
Deffcopta - 30
TL rokkit
Elites:
3 Megnobz in a trukk - 160
BP
Trukk: reinforced ram
Heavy Support:
10 lootas - 140
The warboss will go with the 18 slugga boyz and the painboy will go with the warbikers. I don't really have any mek gunz, flashgitz or walkers but other than those I have most other models. Let me know if there's anything I should change. Thanks!

Not sure about the mega armor on the boss. That will prevent the choppa boyz running, and probably you need that turn 2 waaaagh to get them into combat. LoS! will keep most shots off of him.

I run a similar list, and the only change I can recommend is to take the eavy armor off one of the boys squads.
The MA on the warboss does slow down the boys, but at the exchange of making them virtually invulnerable to most small arms fire (less than 1 in 100 bolter shots will cause a wound on average) Automatically Appended Next Post: I run a similar list, and the only change I can recommend is to take the eavy armor off one of the boys squads.

I kind of like MA and DLS on the boss because he seems nearly invincible from anything that doesn't avoid my armor. That said what would you recommend I do with the spare points if I do drop him to just eavy armor? Perhaps a mek to soak challenges?
What's your reasoning for dropping the eavy armor off of only one of the trukk boyz? Also what would you recommend I do with the points?

I would keep the MA on the warboss. Makes him ded ard' and works wonderfully to keep the boyz alive. Tank all the small arms fire with that wonderful 2+ re-rollable and look out sir all the ap2/1

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes
TheEyeOfNight- "Ordo Xenos reports that the Necrons have attained democracy, kamikaze tendencies, and nuclear fission. It's all tits up, sir."
Space Marine flyers are shaped for the greatest possible air resistance so that the air may never defeat the SPACE MARINES!
Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum

I'd drop the armor just to add more bodies, mostly. Eavy armor is nice, but a 4pts/boy, it's just not cost effective. I use it for a shock unit.
Keep that MA. The only reason to not MA a DLS warboss is because he's on a bike instead. 1 in 144 bolter shots will wound him. Tank tank tank. If you do end up saving points on that Ard Boy squad, what I'd do is:
Drop a boy from warboss blob.
Add Mek +killsaw
Drop pk on the nob
Give nob Big choppa.
The nob has two wounds, so he's more likely to survive a challenge get with anything but a fist. The big choppa means he still brings something nasty to the unit. The mek is weaker than a nob, and with fewer attacks. However, the killsaw he swings helps balance that out, since it has armorbane, and the mek has no other melee upgrade option unlike the nob. Against infantry, the nob with klaw will get one more wound per turn. But versus vehicles, it's an average hit of 12.5 versus 14 on the charge.
Much shinier.

Ok i'll definetly consider that. My reasoning for having ard boyz in the trukk was that after your trukk explodes you take wounds which is usually enough to cause mob rule then you take more wounds then by the time you charge and get overwatched there really isn't enough boyz left to do anything significant. The eavy armor was there to try and make it so I can get a decent amount of boyz into cc to do some decent damage but I can understand the more boyz philosophy

The painboy can't take a power klaw.
When it comes to slugga choppa boys in trucks I like to have the eavy armor. Not only will it keep them alive when your trukk goes boom, smaller units with out the armor loose too many boys when its there turn to attack in the initiative order.

THIS MATTERS!
Its an OPINION that another trukk of boyz would be better. (it might be) but its also an opinion that you like your boyz to make it combat.
I think your list is great and playable as is.
