Our Kickstarter project is now live! Check it out here:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/746646035/buildings-in-a-bag

Imagine having the ability to make buildings in a matter of minutes, play a game using them, and then breaking them down and storing them in plastic gallon bags until you are ready for them again.

That's the essence of Buildings in a Bag, the ability to create a building or a city using durable resin walls and connectors that will look good and not take up a lot of storage space. For more information and a demo video visit us here:

Looks like a version of the DUST buildings but with less texture. Could be useful depending on price.

Not bad, I'd like to see them painted. Lack of texture/detail is not so much an issue since it is terrain. YOu can always add posters or other bits of flair.

But I think the Pegasus Gothic buildings manage to do the same thing and in plastic. They have lego like connections allowing people to build and rebuild on the fly.

I see you're trying to be innovative and I'd like to be supportive but there are far superior products on the market at the moment.

Still, I wish you good luck with your endeavor.

Sure, if you want to lend the fellow all the costs associated with the production and start up to get this product out.

I'm going to be honest with you.

First, you have all the disadvantages of resin without using any of its advantages.

Second, I don't think anyone in their right mind will store heavy, painted resin parts in a bag.

I don't mean to "dogpile", but I feel this is the sort of thing that would have been a great product 5-10 years ago, but is now surpassed by what is currently on the market.

Depending on the price, I'd get a bag or three. Looks great for Terminator or any modern to near future urban environment, where you do want a variety of different types of buildings (and I don't have any resin or plastic buildings terrain that looks like these)

"...and special thanks to Judgedoug!" - Alessio Cavatore "Now you've gone too far Doug! ... Too far... " - Rick Priestley "I've decided that I'd rather not have you as a member of TMP." - Editor, The Miniatures Page "I'd rather put my testicles through a mangle than spend any time gaming with you." - Richard, TooFatLardies "We need a Doug Craig in every store." - Warlord Games "Thank you for being here, Judge Doug!" - Adam Troke

Looks ok, but I agree I wouldn't paint them then store them in a bag. But that's fine for packaging, lots of resin terrain comes in bags.

But, what about a roof? Any chance of making some kind of modular square roof (or floor) tiles?

First let me thank everyone for the feedback, yes even the ones that stung a little. These wall and connectors were designed with the idea of being modular and fitting into every genre possible with a little modification. The lack of detail is intended to increase the ways they can be used. Not to mention it allows users to add their own details and make them their own. That being said we do have plans for offering pieces with texture such as bricks, siding, etc... I chose resin because it is stronger than the typical brittle plastic normally used. Stating that they could be stored in a plastic bag after use isn't a requirement, nor recommended, it was merely a way of explaining the buildings can be broken down and stored in an object most people can visualize. There are also plans for doors, windows, and other accessories that can be added to make them more detailed. I've been back and forth about providing roof-tops, but it might be offered in the near future? I guess the point is I'm trying to get the very basic set of walls and connectors released via a kickstarter that will provide me with the equipment I need to produce more detailed and textured walls. This is just the beginning (I hope) of a long line of products that will enhance your gaming experience. Here are a couple more pics, the first shows an actual building on the left and a building made with Buildings in a Bag on the right. The second one shows a 4 foot by 8 foot table with several buildings of different sizes and shape on the left and the walls and connectors used to make those buildings on the right.

Thanks,

Just wanted everyone to know there has been a major overhaul to the Kickstarter project. Most of the changes were made based on comments and questions I’ve received. Things like making rewards that didn’t use the point system, walls with textures available now, and making rewards EU friendly. So check out the project if you haven’t yet, or re-visit it if you already have and see the new changes.

Here’s a picture of some of the initial 3D models for the textured walls.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

Way too expensive for me.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.
