Missed it by a few days due to life being crazy right now, but ten years ago Dakka returned from an update that wiped away the Dakka of Old and ushered in the current version of the site. I know I was on Dakka for a few years before the change, but there isn't much in my life I've stuck with for over a decade and just wanted to thank Yak, Lego and all the mods for keeping things running and of course Russ for starting this whole thing.

Indeed. It's a great go-to site for wargaming. I really appreciate all the hard work the mods and admins do keeping it going!

I was one of the final bidders and Yak beat me out....and I could not in a million years have done a better job than him. Congrats Yak!

.Only a fool believes there is such a thing as price gouging. Things have value determined by the creator or merchant. If you don't agree with that value, you are free not to purchase. |

Me too, I was the 8th highest or something like that. A few weeks ago I came across the ad traffic information that Russ sent all the prospective bidders - that was a blast from the past. SOOOO glad I didn't win....
Congrats to Yakface and the whole Dakka crew. Job well done - here's to 100 more years of Dakka!

Wow! A big congratulations is in order. I can't believe that many years have passed already on this site. I also remember when the site went down and new accounts had to be set up. The old days of Mauleed, Plastictrees and many, many others debating lists and trying to find better builds than the old 96'ers. Good times.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby. |
