Hey all,
I'm trying to put together some flavorful, rag tag inquisitor retinues. Anyone know of any cool obscure models that would fit in? Trying to keep the project fairly low budget.
Let me know if you have any suggestions

What type of inquisitor are you going to use? Which order? But also will they be radical or purist? Do you have any fluff that is associated with your inquisitor?

If we get a bit more information we could suggest some.

As a starting recommendation I like the GW Imperial Guard regimental advisors pack. You get an astropath, communications officer and a fleet advisor and they can slot into a inquisitorial retinue quite well.

Shred City.

My Inquisitor retinue is a motley crew of proper Inquisitors from the GW line, some astropaths, some rare stuff from the big Coteaz/retinue packs GW used to sell back in the day, a couple of old school servitors, a couple of cherubs carrying scrolls/weapons, and some bad ass Necromunda models to act as the muscle.

Several of these are in my retinue:

Mad Donna Ulanti, Necromunda:

The 2nd and 3rd model here (preacher and astropath/advisor):

This advisor as well:

Just showing you how varied your retinue should/could be. As you know, they tend to be made up of all kinds of types, so long as they are loyal to the =I= leading the band.

Other than the actual inquisitorial retinue models, models I've considered include ...

Techpriests - the gnarlier the better, like that fellow with all the scuttly legs in the clamshell pack, or some of Forge World's models.
Aliens - an Eldar ranger, corsair or a Dark Eldar. A Kroot mercenary (or an ork mercenary, for that matter; in the RPG you can play as one, so it's OK ). Some of the aliens from the Dark Eldar Archon's Court.

What I really want to do is get as many different Imperial organisations represented in the warband as possible; Inquisition (obviously), Ecclesiarchy, Space Marines, Imperial Guard, Adeptus Mechanicus, perhaps the Ordo Assassinorum and if I can get hold of one, the Knight Scion from Forge World. Oh, and someone from the Navy - the Naval liaison model from the IG range would work if I can still get one.

I'm going for a radical Ordo Xenos feel. I'm also converting up some Dark vengeance sets into Deathwatch

But thanks for the suggestions guys. I really dig the necromunda models, too bad they sell for like $30 a guy on ebay now days. Also love the Adviser/mystic guy with the eye visor. I def need to get my hands on that guy.

I don't know how into using outside GW models you guys are but i've been digging and i found some dudes from the wrath of kings range that I think would fit in. dragon legion box set has 12 guys that can be death cult assassins and 2 models that would make awesome crusaders if you chop one of the sword arms and add a storm shield. They also have a model called The Blind Hakar that i think would make an awesome Radical Xeno inquisitor. Only problem being, i don't know how the scale of the models would fit mixed with the GW stuff

Know of any other model ranges that would fit in? I like the models to be fairly close representation of what they would be in game

And yeah Andrew that tech priest model is amazing. trying to get the most bang for my buck though. I could see myself using a skitarri unit as servitors or the elctro priests as psychers though. Also not too big on the whole having aliens within the retinue idea. Seems wrong

Ooo thats my first time seeing Victoria miniatures.
I like those Spanish Inquisition guys a lot. That Penal Guard squad would be look epic in an inquisition army too

Some of the old Void models fit in well with GW scale.
