Amazingly my friends and I still argue on how this works and I just want to set the record straight!

So here it is... if I choose to reroll my warlord trait and get the same warlord trait that I originally rolled, do I get to reroll it again... I am pretty sure no... But my some of my friends firmly state that the book says you can and sense I have carved up that book and found nothing saying you can reroll the reroll... I am asking dakka.

On that note... is it a absurd house rule?

They probably got it from rolling for spells where you can't have the same power twice so have to keep rerolling if you roll a spell you already know.

One problem with this that has never been adressed by a FAQ is Tau Warlord traits. 2 of them can only be picked if you have a Battlesuit, and other one if you have a ranged weapon. What happens if my re-roll hits something still not doable by my Warlord?

Here we let Tau re-roll it until you get something usable. I generally don't even bother with Tau Warlord Table if I don't have a battlesuit-equipped Warlord, though.

Its a reroll, not roll again, so if the Tau HQ cannot benefit twice in a row, tough luck.
