A powerful and important Champion of Chaos has been spotted on a jungle world leading an attack against the Imperial army. 2 expert snipers arrived to dispatch him, for his death would severely cripple the forces of Chaos in not only the planet but the entire sector.

Who would get to him first? What do you think? The wargears and special abilities of the Chaos Champion are unclear.

I'd be inclined to believe the 2 sniper would get into a battle with each other ala Enemy at the Gates and the Champion would get potted by some random Guardsman

Well... by "first" do you mean by range? or by failed save on the tabletop? I believe Illic has greater range.

I also believe that, somehow, the centuries old master of the long shot from a race who have memes about "we do it better than you" is outshown by a human sniper (albeit highly trained) on the tabletop in almost every way.
