Healers, Doctors, whatever: Point is I don't believe I've ever seen this mentioned.

I would assume the Earth caste. But yes, I don't believe that it ever has been mentioned.

I guess Earth, as the scientific caste and taking into account the high level of biology qualification a human doctor needs, would veer towards making the most sense. Absolutely for medical research at the very least.

I also considered Water on the basis of how they're described as basically being the Tau administratum, weaved through every layer of Tau society in support and facilitation roles... But then again they really are mostly the paperwork and conversation caste.

It's entirely likely that you're allowed to take basic medic training in any caste to support the greater good of society. Field medics for Fire, first aid everywhere else... That's different from a fully qualified doctor though.

Field medics would probably be Fire Caste. Doctors will be Earth Caste.

Yeah this. For everyday Tau life, they'd probably be Earth Caste, but during war they're probably Fire Caste who have trained to be medics too.
