Hi,
I'm going to take my forgeworld bloodthirster out of the bag it's been sat in for 18 months soon, and was wondering what people use to glue the weight bearing joints on large resin models? I don't trust superglue for this, and I'm contemplating a warhound, so definitely would want stronger for that.
Thanks in advance
James

Superglue and brass/steel rod for pins.
If you aren't happy with that you can swap the superglue for a 2 part epoxy.

Yeah I was thinking along the lines of a two part epoxy. Any recommendations?

Brass rod (multiple) and superglue. I'm
Never a fan of epoxy on curved joins, purely because if you ever change your mind, too damn bad.

Pins. Lots of pins. The pins take all of the weight, the only thing the glue should be doing is keeping the pins from sliding back out of their sockets. If you do your pinning right it doesn't matter what glue you use.

I was thinking of using thin bolts for pins. The thread, hopefully, will give the glue something to grip on to.

Don't forget to use the blu-tack trick for pinning:
Drill holes on one side of the join. Lube that up (a bit of spit works) and press a thin layer of blu-tack over the surface. Press into the join, firmly.
Remove the drilled part and the blu-tack should be left on the other surface, with small nubs showing where you need to drill.
Properly aligned pins, every time.
