So I was reading up on "Watch Commanders".
From what I understand they are like Chapter Masters.
One thing confused me about the Deatwatch.
I know they have "kill teams" which are kind of put together as the mission requires, but shouldn't what are the larger collections of xenos killing badasses called?

Is there a "company" from which the kill team members are drawn? I know they are not "formally divided into separate companies as are Space Marine Chapters"... so what is the term for it?

Saying "so we selected you from this 'group' of deatwatch marines" is a little weird. Do they have a higher level or organization?

And I assume they'd never deploy like a full "army" (several kill teams) to deal with a bigger threat?

I have a little nugget of knowledge which might help a little, most marines are seconded to the death watch for a period of time, some who excel at these assignments can actually stay with the deathwatch for the rest of their career. Also from the little ive read of the death watch they are mostly scattered being deployed as sort of retinues for xenos inquisitors, there is a stronghold but I don't know how many of them are stationed there.

Deathwatch draws its Marines from various chapters and is considered an honour for the Marine.
They stay with the Deathwatch as long as they are needed and sometimes stay for the rest of their lifes.

FFG made the Deathwatch into a whole army with its own support vehicles. So technically, you "could" deploy a whole army of Deathwatch Marines. But if one or two Killteams can't handle the thread, they call for support from a nearby chapter or the Imperial Guad. Or the Inquisitor declares an Exterminatus.

The watch members assigned to a specific region or task are reffered to as "the [insert sector name here] vigil" in FFG'S roleplaying game.

There is reference in the books to a 'crusade', which sounds about right.

Could do what my friend does which is use the first company formation to get a bunch of sternguard to represent his kill teams and then uses the Armour formation to bring in the big guns.
