I just got the starter box, and quickly bought three more X Wings to get my fix.

Are there any good (4) X Wings builds out there?

THANK YOU for any suggestions

So far I have this 100 point build idea:

Wedge
Biggs
Rookie- Flechette Torpedoes
Rookie- Flechette Torpedoes

Yeah, that's pretty much it!

4 x Rookie Pilot + Shield upgrade

Standard games are 100 points, so you've got just enough space for 4, no real room for tricks.

I'd forego the torpedoes on the rookies and maybe spruce up Wedge with an EPT. If he can get out of arc, Outmaneuver sounds like a good plan on him, although it will either be a)rare or b)a one-trick pony.

If you're willing to proxy cards, I would throw an R2 astromech and the Integrated Astromech upgrade on all your ships (instead of taking flechette torpedoes). That will boost the survivability of your X-Wings significantly.

Rookie Pilot (21)
R2 Astromech (1)
Integrated Astromech (0)

Rookie Pilot (21)
R2 Astromech (1)
Integrated Astromech (0)

Biggs Darklighter (25)
R4-D6 (1)
Integrated Astromech (0)

Wedge Antilles (29)
R2 Astromech (1)
Integrated Astromech (0)

Total: 100

R4-D6 is a nice 1 point astromech for Biggs.

Wow great thank you guys. I will consider my first few games with R2 units since they are cheap and add survivability.

Against Imperials, how many ships do Alliance usually fight against? 4 vs 4? I notice the TIE Fighters are 40% cheaper than X Wings and Imperial Pilots can get 4, 5, or 6 Pilot Skill easily too.

There's probably no "typical" without attaching a list archetype.

A TIE swarm is likely at least 6 ships, whereas one of the current top tier lists is a Shuttle and two aces.

Rebels will normally be outnumbered, but that's by no means a gimme.
