I have been wracking my mind and cannot seem to figure out what could beat this army. With a LoC sitting on the bastion and pink horrors sitting on the walls, you will basically have unlimited summoning and anything that gets in range will easily be evaporated. I have tried things that ignore mortal wounds and the vast amount easily gets through, have tried teleporting units, but with unlimited summoning in a single turn you cannot get on the enemies table side. I feel like it is truly an unbeatable army.

To be honest its a move. As a tzeentch player even I feel summoning needs some restrictions to it cause it can get way outta hand and the person playing that list, if he is going all out with it and not using some house rules to even the game up a bit, will soon run out of people to play against. The cohort is an awesome formation thats for sure, its just a tad unruly with the ability for everything to keep summoning.

I havent ran a balls to the wall tzeentch list like that myself as I tend to be favoring my skaven currently but I would say find some units that disrupt magic hardcore beyond just the simple dispell, I cant think of them but I know there are a few and maybe some other dakka members will be able to name them. I think Lizards have a bunch of anti-chaos stuff that makes it hard for the daemon players aswell but I have yet to play against them.

What army are you using?

Its kind of like the LoC summoning issue where they keep summoning more and more LoC's or the Archon mass summon of lords and troops, AoS has a few major broken spots that can be exploited which is kind of sad but just means we as the players need to regulate so that we can keep the game fair and fun instead of a sea of power gaming.

You could exploit with your own cheese though, Fateweaver and Bell, TK's Carrion, or mass wizards to dispel a ton.

I would sign this contract but I already ate the potato

As mean as it is to run something like that, it does sound awesomely cinematic. The daemon wizard sits upon his throne of power and summons a world-ending army as the heroes try to stop it...

Depending on his attitude, I probably wouldn't even be mad!

Advice for beating it: Are you using all the models in your collection? Try using more models, if you can. If he's summoning unlimited units, you should be able to place unlimited units

Alternatively, try a different scenario, maybe one that doesn't favor such a static position?

We have house ruled a lot against that list, such as if ever a tournament the fortress is banned and you cannot summon something that did not start on the table at the beginning of the game to try and limit cheese.

I usually do not mind playing against this army, I play a death army with a few ogors thrown in. My biggest question is unless playing strict rules, such as the sudden death this army is unbeatable.

Locally we use some house rules that kinda work:

1) Army limit: At any given time during the game you cannot have more than 3, heroes, 2 wizards, 2 priests, 2 monsters, 2 artillery, 50 wounds in your army. No single warscroll can have more than 20 wounds.

2) Summoned units count towards sudden death ratio when present on the table.

This allows summoners to bring back or change out units that have died, but not exceed the initial cap. The second rule allows for some hope if you are getting outdone in attrition by the amount of replacement units being summoned and makes the summoner player worry about triggering sudden death with another summon hitting the table.

I play:
40K: Daemons, Tau
AoS: Blades of Khorne, Disciples of Tzeentch
Warmachine: Convergence of Cyriss
Infinity: Haqqislam, Tohaa
Malifaux: Bayou
Star Wars Legion: Republic & Separatists
MESBG: Far Harad, Misty Mountains

Nagash is pretty sweet at unbinding so is Arkhan and you could add a few Liche Priests with their dispell scrolls and you would have a good chance of nullifying their magic.

Another player tried nagash and nagash just hid and tried to out summon, but just couldn't keep up. We finally just house ruled not allowing the bastion, also cannot summon anything, that did not start out on the table at the beginning of the game.

We use a summoning pool.

Playing a game with 100 wounds? Throughout the course of the game you can summon any 50 wounds worth of models. Once the pool is expended, that's it.

There's other tiny wrinkles in there as well.

I thin you should be able to snipe him with 2-3 vexillor (and the comet) + Something fast like prosecutors or a formation that make you teleport where you want.
