Hi guys!

First post so bear with me in regards to layout/general mediocrity of post (done on my iPhone). Had a few bits lying around from my freshly bought necron army, and since flayed ones were sold out here in Aus until very recently I thought I'd make my own. I didn't really like the fluff in regards to them being skin lusting psychopaths, so I built them mostly as if they were destroyers who preferred close quarter combat to eradicate all life rather than shooty style. I built one as a flayed lord (easy to pick which one ), hoping to maybe use him as a custom unit if my friends let me. We are all very green to the game so no idea on stat points ect yet. Super stoked on how they came out considering they are my first customisation!

Anyway thanks for having a look, and please go easy on me.

P.S sorry for not having them painted, I prefer building to painting so I have the majority of an army to get through first

P.P.S have more photos/different angles if anyone is interested.

Welcome to Dakka!

Some cool stuff there, especially the angle of CC-obsessed Destroyers.

The only bit I'm not a great fan of is the use of Space Marine claws on the Lord; the trouble is that SM parts are so instantly recognisable as SM parts, and kind of look out of place anywhere else.

But still, excellent stuff!

Thanks mate!

Yea I agree, I know power claws are super obvious, to slightly negate this I got space wolf claws (I think), only had writing inscribed in them, filed that off, and on one of the arms I got a skull emblem from an adeptus skitarii backpack and moulded it on there. With a lick of necron green on the tubing hopefully looks less obvious. (These photos were taken before I did that mod). A little hot knife accident meant I had to hack at the claws to make it appear like I meant to do it, will have to be more careful next time as I intended them to be unmolested

Initially with the fluff side I kind of imagined them just grabbing whatever they found from the battlefield and welding it onto their arms, hence the tomb blade blades, Canoptek wraith arms, gauss blaster axes, warscythes ect.

The claws look a bit out of place but it makes him look bada$$ IMO

Nice idea, the only thing that I can ad is (and I'm still trying to get the hang of it) try and use your glue a little less. Maybe its cause they not painted yet. But I like the overall look of these guys, keep up the good work.

Thanks mate!

I agree with the glue, I've been using plastic glue, which is fine for general assembly but near the end of these I used super glue the most as it held quicker and was generally less messy.
