Can somebody please link me to a leading 40K tournament rules which include what happens when doubles/allies are in play?

I'm Necrons playing Chaos and Tyranids, they are claiming that they can move freely amongst each other and share one another's psychic powers etc... which I think is wrong. And I'm sure tournaments say it's wrong too.

Can anyone shed some light please? Thanks

Why not just use the allies rules. In which case they're come the apocalypse....

Not sure there are a lot of leading events for doubles, but it should be specified in the rulespack for whichever events you're attending. If you're just in a pick up game this should be agreed before starting using the allies table.

The team events that our club (Northern Warlords) runs in the UK use the standard allies tables from the BRB in our annual team event

The NOVA tournament Doubles does the following in terms of allies:

"Any two combined Doubles Lists created from codices not referenced as Battle Brothers on Page 113
of the 40k Rulebook are instead treated as Allies of Convenience in all cases."

http://www.novaopen.com/wp-content/uploads/2015-40K-Trios-Draft-Primer1.pdf

So it looks like "Come the Apocalypse" allies are treated as "Allies of Convenience" in that case. However, even if you go with that ruling I don't believe it allows you to share Psychic Powers.

I don't play in tournaments myself mind you... this is just some quick Googling on my behalf for you.

There are no 'official' rules for team play, and tournament rules are specific to that tournament... so it really comes down to whatever rules you have decided to use for your game.
