Iron Warriors 1500 (1500pts)
So I got the Betrayal at Calth set and I bought some extra things. Looking for input on this list and perhaps ways I should expand it.
HQ
Legion Centurion
Artificer Armour
Consul;Primus Medicae
Attached to the Terminators, give FNP!
Legion Praetor
Cataphractii Terminator Armour with Combi-bolter and Power Weapon, Paragon Blade, Void Shield Harness, Warsmith
Warlord, Mostly fighty and tanky, also joins the terminators. If I end up having to deploy artillery within LOS of enemies I'll park the terminators in front to give a cover save and give the void shield to the tank as well.
Troops
Legion Tactical Squad
19x Legion Tactical Space Marines, Legion Vexilla, Nuncio-Vox
Main blob squad, joined by the apothecary. Will hold the line/screen + Spot
Legion Tactical Squad
9x Legion Tactical Space Marines
Second troop choice and back up objetive sitters
Elites
Apothecarion Detachment
Legion Apothecary,Augury Scanner
Joins the blob squad, make them more survivable.
Legion Contemptor Dreadnought
Kheres Pattern Assault Cannon
Shoot, CQC, tank cracker in a pinch, will stay close to the blob squad to support them
Tyrant Siege Terminator Squad
4x Tyrant Terminator + sarg.
Semi deathstar with character support. Solid fire power and decent CQC. Rock in the army.
Heavy Support
Legion Basilisk
Legion Whirlwind Scorpius
I got the scorpius as a bargain. I kind wanted two artillery pieces in separate units anyway. If it looks like I'm going to get charged at the main firebase (e.g. Spartan with world eaters) or I need to separate to get 2x BLOS for my arty they can. Most likely split up would be one arty + 10 men guys on one side, rest on the other.
Any comments and critique highly appreciated!

So recommendations. If you are using the Primus Medicae for his FNP, you are better off getting the two additional Apothecaries in lieu of. That way your major objective contenders ( Tacticals and Tyrants.) are all going from that 5+FNP. I am unsure of the IW relic, but for 40pts, it seems costly. Dropping it out allows the Apothecaries to each be equipped with Auger Scanners, and for each Tactical Squad to get theLegion Vexilla and Nuncio-Vox upgrades. Re-roll on failed Morale checks and aides in using your indirect weapons across the table is a bonus. I like the rest of the list, but I would love to see someone use two Scorpius's. They look cool and are more resilent.

Hammer of Olympia would require you to take an extra bog standard Troops choice wouldn't it?
Most of the Rites of War are unplayable at below 2000 points due to restrictions. Iron Warriors are lucky however, in that they can use Pride of the Legion and have Tyrants as Troops choices!
I also don't think Apothecaries can join Terminator squads unfortunately...
How about something like this for 1500:
Siege Breaker - Cataphractii, Power Fist, 2x Phosphex Bombs
Put him with your Tyrants for Tank Hunters.
2x 15 man Tactical Squads - Vexillas, Nuncio-vox, Sgt with AA and Melta Bombs
They get an Apothecary each and just camp an objective, with the Sgt tanking wounds for them with his AA.
Apothecarion Detachment x2 - AA, Scanners
One each for the Tac blobs. AA is handy for them so that they don't get barrage sniped.
Contemptor-Mortis - 2x TL Lascannons
Just in case you come across a Land Raider or, God forbid, a Spartan! Krak Missiles will be useless against both of these and you'll be relying on melee, which means its cargo is already where it wants to be.
Tyrants x5 - 1x Chainfist
The Consul goes here for TH. Just walk them up the board spewing missiles, or camp them on your home objective since they're ObSec!
1x Legion Artillery - Medusa
Up to you whether you give it Phosphex or not...probably not worth it at this points level. Better to keep the S10.
1x Whirlwind Scorpius
Comes to 1500 on the dot. Don't get suckered into RoW at this points level. They are actually an Achilles heel until you get to 2.5k+ except for the slightly broken ones (and POTL Terminator spam at certain levels and with certain Legions).
Once you start playing 2.5k and upwards Hammer of Olympia isn't bad. 3x 15 Tacticals, Tyrants and Medusas are great at all points levels!

Yep, correct on both the third tactical squad and Apothecary. Was thinking I fethed the Apothecary, but did not notice the third mandatory troop choice.
An thoughts on switching out the Tyrants for a Tactical Support Squad? A ten man squad with 30" Volkite Calivers. That would free up enough points to upgrade to the Lascannon Mortis, which is a better choice than the standard Contemptor.
I am a big fan of ROWs, and play my WE at 2000pts with Berserker Assault. I find it works very well, but it takes some army tailoring for it to work.

Well Berserker Assault is a good rite of war, but the IW ones isn't very usefull to be honest (until at high point games you can actually fill 4 heavy support choice). Pride of the legion is probably the best for IW.
As for the Relic, it grands you one voidshield the size of the 5'' blast marker centered on your character. I wanted the medicea to give the siege breakers FNP as well but I like the adjustments exsanguis made but a little sad to loose the FNP on the tyrants and the CQC power of the Praetor and him giving stubborn. (and his warlord trait, -1 to cover saves in his backfied really help out my artillery but I realize giving the Tyrants tank hunter is the best choice (To bad they don't have BS5). If I do run into a land raider/spartan I'll deal with it after it delivers its cargo, probably have to sacrifice some tactical marines but can unload on the cargo afterwards.
Thanks for the help gentleman!
