I've decided to get into the Heresy with the new Calth boxset and have been going through my existing marines to see if there are any bits that would carry over into the heresy.
I seem to have a bunch of these sort of helmets

And so I was wondering what mark they are supposed to be and if it's feasible to have the odd one in a heresy era army?

Grey knight crusader helm. However I might be mistaken.

That looks like one of the helmets off the BT upgrade sprue. Strictly speaking it's not part of one of the "official" marks of power armour, although I'd say it's close enough to a Mk. III helmet that it could concievably be a variation on it. The ForgeWorld heresy-era Black Templars have helmets like that (with some bling, but still), so it should be completely fine fluff-wise.

For thirteen years I had a dog with fur the darkest black. For thirteen years he was my friend, oh how I want him back.

It looks to me like an artificer mark 7 helmet with a custom faceplate.

Mark 4 armour shares that wide centrally-placed raised strip on the top, so it wouldn't look too out of place there.

On the same subject, the plastic Sternguard box has some mk4 parts (two helmets, a set of legs, a couple of backpacks and possibly a torso, although there's enough decoration on them that you could use just about any torso piece). The Tactical Squad has some mark 5 and 6 parts, and I'm sure the others do too.

Thanks for the help! I reckon I'll use a few of them here and there to break up the MkIVs from the Calth set.
