new to renegades, but am interested in creating a tzeentch dedicated psyker coven style force, that will most likely be accompanied by tzeentch daemons focused on summoning (either a prince, LoC, or screamerstar).

i've been reading about the basics, but am mostly finding nurgle based lists on here, and fewer lists with daemon or marine allies. It seems like renegades require a fair bit of forward planning, so I'd appreciate input on this 1500 point starter list.

the below force comes to 1399 points. at least according battle scribe.

-renegades CAD-
command squad: primaris rogue psyker lv2, covenant of tzeentch (fluff based choice), command net vox guy, banner of hate guy, 2 disciples w/ autoguns

5 renegade psykers (mostly a fluff choice)

3 spawn
3 spawn

renegade platoon 1
-command squad, tzeentch demagogue, militia training, 11 auto gun guys, chaos sigil, command net vox, 2 meltas, 2 auto cannon teams
-18 autopistol CCW guys, 2 flamers, krak grenades
-10 auto gun guys

renegade platoon 2
-command squad, tzeentch demagogue, militia training, 11 auto gun guys, chaos sigil, command net vox, 2 meltas, 2 auto cannon teams
-18 autopistol CCW guys, 2 flamers, krak grenades
-10 autogun guys

3 rapier laser destroyer batteries w/ additional crew, militia training
2 wyverns
2 leman russ exterminators, muli melta sponsons

Drop the banner of hate it's an expensive upgrade for a squad that will get one shorted by a stiff breeze unless you are protecting them inside a chimera in which case you would need other chimeras so that chimera isn't one shorted at the start too. Command squads are expensive and are bests as bare bones in most cases. Luckily we have chaos sigils for our other infantry squad which will help mitigate morale difficulties much more cheaply than that banner upgrade.

Just noticed your wyverns and exterminators, so only would need to try and squeeze room for the command squad chimera. Otherwise the list looks like fun. Consider changing exterminators to conquerors to get in your opponents face early with those multi melta sponsons.

hey! thanks for your reply!

what gun is on the conquerer? i'm also curious about an alternative to the second platoon. are any of the other troop choices worth considering?

seems like the internet doesn't like the rogue psykers, but there has to be an effective use for them. do you think it'd be a good idea to shove all of them into a chimera, or a bastion perhaps? or just keep them in the back to hold off deep strikers?

are the arvus lighter transports any good? valkyries? any conversion ideas for the lighters? or also, for the rapier lasers?

Rogue psykers are single model units, you can't shove them All anywhere.

I would probably hide them between platoons where they are relatively safe.

But they do seem pretty bad....

Arvus lighters don't have many uses. They can kinda work like drop pods.

Arvus lighter when you don't have enough points left for your Valkyrie
