The 40k rulebooks and codices are littered with random, one off pieces of fluff, such as the Void Whale, the Black Sun or The Howling. The ones that stick out to me are the timeline events with just a title. I love thinking of exactly what occured! What is your favorite little bit of fluff in 40k?

Peregrine - If you like the army buy it, and don't worry about what one random person on the internet thinks.

I like the bits about Space Marine awards and honorificas. These guys fight for centuries and they probably rack up dozens of campaign badges, honorary titles, and purity seals for acts of heroism that no human could hope to emulate. My favorite has to be the Crux Argentum: a silver and gem-encrusted version of the Crux Terminatus.

Y'know, for when the Crux Terminatus is too pedestrian and passé

Eldar Ranger #1: The tracks indicate a squad of astartes in terminator armor, exarch.
Eldar Ranger #2: What's that strange line between the third set of tracks? He appears to be dragging something between his legs.
Eldar Ranger Exarch: Those would be his balls...
