I was thinking of using Ghenna's gold, Abbadon black, and Incubi Darkness. Is there any other color schemes that are similar to this one? I wan't to do something different from the lighter tone I usually see on Tau

I'd be tempted to swap out the Ghenna's Gold for something like Dawnstone or Administratum Grey.

I just find Tau look a bit odd in metallic colours.

A couple of years ago I painted a fire warrior ghenna's gold (or whatever it was called back then) and it did not go well.

Try the non-metallic metal approach if possible. I also think Administratum Grey will go well with Abaddon Black & Incubi Darkness
