I know that walkers get +1 attack per melee weapon but how does it work with different kind of melee weapons?
I ask because im intending to buy the Leviathan Dreadnought for my BA friend for his birthday, and one of the ways you can load it out is with 1 of two different kind of melee weapons.
Would you lose an attack but can pick which rules you use, or pick which rules and keep all attacks? Theres no way you get both. Though i could see divvying up the attacks between the rules.

Check "More than one weapon" in the assault phase (?) section.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

The only time this is an issue is with Specialist Weapons. All Melee Weapons without the Specialist Weapon rule would add bonus Attacks for Walkers. Specialist Weapons would only get added bonus Attacks from other Specialist Weapons.

They arent, theyre just Melee, Wrecker, Severing Cut for one and Armorbane on the other (wrecker/severing cut is just special effects the Leviathan does). And Happyjew i cant find anything in the assault phase about multiple weapons to choose from. Even if it did, Walkers would be different since they arent limited to one weapon. I'd be surprised if he wants to field it with both melee weapons either in pairs or mixed, but im still curious how it would rule out. Linky to rules for those who dont know what im talking about: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/resources/PDF/Datasheets/LeviathanSiegeDreadnoughtRules.pdf

Look under Number of Attacks, second bullet for the number of Attacks.
Under Weapons, More Than One Weapon for the rules on which rules you would use.
In other words, you pick a Weapon and use its rules. If the model has more than one Melee Weapon, they get one more Attack. Walkers change this last part from "more than one" to "for every".
Specialist Weapons add a crinkle, as they only get bonus Attacks for every other Melee Weapon with Specialist.
