This seemed like a straightforward situation that ended up being a ten minute argument this past weekend. The Skitarii taser goad doubles the initiative of the user the first turn of assault combat. The guy playing this said the initiative boost counts when rolling the initiative check for sweeping advances. I disagreed because it seems obvious to me this only applies to the actual combat itself. But RAW makes it look like it would count. What do you think?

What is the exact wording on taser goads? Is the bonus for combat attacks? Is it for the entire phase?

"When a Sweeping Advance is performed, both the unit Falling Back and the winning unit roll a D6 and add their unmodified Initiative to the result."

Unmodified.
