I'm using MIG's Pigment fixer to try to seal some MIG Vietnam Earth pigment I've put over the tracks and lower hull of a Rhino.
It's been 36 hours so far and the fixer hasn't dried and is sticky to the touch. Luckily only done on a small test portion of a track.

Is this normal ? The Rhino is currently living on a block of wood on top of a Radiator in an attempt to dry it out

It is definetely not normal, it is supposed to try in 10-15 minutes at most.
How much of it did you apply? Did you try to dilute it?

Didn't flood the model with the fixer, and didn't dilute.
I've had the bottle for a year or so, so maybe it's gone a bit funky ?

The only other alternative I can think of is that the fixer (it's enamel based ?) reacted with the previous paint layers. Vallejo Metal Colour, washed with oils. Layers where properly dry before starting the next step.

Did you shake it a lot. The video I have shows the bloke really shaking the bottle hard for a good minute.

Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

Yeah, I gave the bottle a good shake before applying.

Not quite sure what to do now. The section of track I applied it to is still sticky after 60 hours. More pigment to see if that absorbs the 'stickyness' or perhaps some white spirit or IPA applied instead ?
