What are Legendary Units? I was building an Unbound list for Necrons (Via Battlescribe) and they had a Legendary Unit called 'Pylon'.
It costs more than the standard Gauss Pylon and has extra bonuses and what not.
Can Legendary Units only be taken in Unbound formations?
Are Legendary Units even a thing?
Am I going crazy?

Apocalypse is a gw book. There's two editions, one is oop the new one should still be around.

I have both in front of me and still can't work out what a 'legendary unit ' is..

The pylon is in the old apocalypse book, just looks like a superheavy.(and has more recent rules in an imperial armour book..)
Maybe a legendary unit is one that is out of print???

It's an obsolete term from Apocalypse. Legendary units are superheavies and Apocalypse-only characters. It has no meaning outside of Apocalypse, and even in Apocalypse it only really ever meant "stuff in this rulebook that isn't a formation".

What kind of Formations do they have for Necrons (If they have formations)?
The only reason I would get the book is if it has a decent formation being the Necron enthusiast I am.

Nothing better than Necrons already have, trust me on this.
