Hello, I've been looking to convert some Dark Elves to Dark Eldar, however I don't know what to convert and what to convert it to. Maybe you have some ideas? This is what I thought of:
-Witch Elves as Wyches
-Corsairs as Kabalite Warriors
-Lokhir Fellheart as Archon

That sounds about right, just make sure to include some guns on the models or people might get a bit confused.

Don't bother with Wyches there are one of the worst units in the game.

Doesn't matter if a themed force is In the works. And Wyches can work, I've seen them used to great effect before, don't count them out quite yet.

It's do able, in fact it's quite easy. However my only advise would be it would be easier and perhaps more thematic in some cases to convert Dark Eldar bits with Dark Elf stuff rather then the other way around. For example Kabalite Warriors are a great set, very easy to customise. It would be far easier to give a Kabalite Warrior a Sea Dragon Cloak and Corsair Head then it would be to give a Corsair a believable gun pose.

Wyches would be fine, Dark Elf Witches are great (if expensive) models. However if your up for third party models, these girls strike a very good balance between Dark Elf almost-nakedness with Wych weapons and pistols (http://www.ragingheroes.com/products/blood-vestals-sf-troop?variant=233456484). Finally not all models have exact cross overs, Incubi models look much nicer then Excercutioner models, however i am sure a Sea Dragon Cloak would help the Incubi fit the theme.

I´m doing Dark Elves as Dark Eldar. What you said about the Incubi is a pretty good point actually.

I use Corsairs as Kabalite Trueborn.

I also have the Knife Assassin guy as my Archon.


I bought the stand alone sorceress and am adding her to my lead Venom as the gunner, cause she looks so cool reaching for the splinter canon.
