Hello
i am going to participate in a tournament here at 1650 points, it is my first tournament.
I do know that as a chaos player im going to have some diffecutly competing at the highest level, but im hoping to have some fun.

Any feedback is welcome.

HQ
Biker lord with LC/PF, he has a 3+4++ save with MON.

Troops

10 marines with CCW and pistol
2 dudes with plasmaguns
1 Rhino

10 Marines with boltgun
2 dudes with PLasmaguns
1 Rhino

10 cultist

10 Cultist

Fast attack

5 Bikes with 2 plasma guns and MON
1 Helldrake

Heavy Support
Chaos Legion sicarian battle tank
Forgefiend with hades autocannons

Formation
3 Hellbruts with multi melta and power first. Mayham pack

The idea is that the troops buy time and go around and Cap the maelstrom of war cap points.
THe heavy support take down any light and medium tanks he might field.
The Hellbrutes Deepstrike and are a nuasance in the back line. they can take down light and medium tanks and generaly cause trouble.
The HQ and Bikes gives me needed mobilety and go where they are needed with support from the Drake.

This list gives me many troops, and quite some firepower. I have little template wepons but my heavy support together with the hellbrutes gives me quite abit of high power attacks.

I love the biker and Lord set up, and it's personally how mine is set up all the time.

For the two squads of Marines, I'm assuming in the first you traded boltgun for the CCW? Kinda hard to tell. Personally, I'd rather run a similar set up, only using Plague Marines. You have a Nurgle Lord, so they're troops for you. Plus, feel no pain and defensive grenades are nothing to scoff at.

Can't say anything about the battle tank, having not seen it's stats. For the Forgefiend though, I prefer a set up of the three ectoplasm cannons. I find that the 3 small blasts do better for me.

Finally, I love the idea of the helbrute formation. In reality, it sucks. Hellbrutes are just baby dreadnoughts and even the formation doesn't make them worth it to me. I'd drop those points for a second unit of bikes, or to afford the upgrade from Marines to Plague Marines.

agreed plague marines instead of csm give them plasma or melta, dig into the crimson slaughter book and give your biker lord the slaughter horns and daemonheart, then flesh out you bikers by cutting out the helbrute pack and bring in a sorcerer, what is a nuisance is an invisible t6 biker star

Hello, and thanks for feedback

The reason i dont have the Plauge marines is that i might get 10 of them, with max 4 plasma shots each round.

With the regular marines i can get 8 plasma shots each round, and i have more units on the bord. Wich is good i maelstrom of war, where i need to get objektives? is it not?

Is the mayham pack so squshie? I realy thought they would be good running annoyance in the back line. They can do damage to pretty much evrything, and you cant just blow them of the table either.

the helbrutes can do damage but i rather have an invisible biker star, the plague marines survive more than the the reg csm, reg csm can run off the board and they give out 4 plasma shots per squad of 10, a plague marine squad of 5 can deliver the smae amount, if you take 2 squads of plague marines then you pump out just as much shots as the csm x20 the plague marines have t5 fearless, fnp, and get shrouded if they come across 6 inches of an enemy, that is so much better than the csm. the helbrutes are no as durable as you think they are, they have one chance to do something and then they get focus fired and die

2squads of 10 marines with 4 plasmagun total...8 shots

4 squads of 5 plague marines 8 plasmaguns total...16 shots. just get 2 more rhinos.

However melta gun is better.

Also you face the problem with regular marines and LD versus the plague marines.

Hunting with the 13th

Looks like fun, although I hope you have better luck with Nurgle bikes than I usually do.

I also recommend Plague Marines over regular CSM, if you can spare the points. Don't forget that you can throw combi-weapons on the squad leaders as well.

If you are deadset on using regular CSMs, I also second the use of meltas, as not having the FnP to help avoid a bad Gets Hot roll will hurt you. I also don't like the combo of plasma guns AND swapping out the bolters on your first CSM squad. If you want to mix it up in CC, then take meltas instead.

Don't forget those heavy flamers on the Mayhempack brutes, if you can squeeze in the points (which you can, if you drop that second squad of cultists).
