Looking to verify a possible change in the finecast mold for the TFC.

The old metal and fincast molds split the cannon length wise. Which was a horrible design choice that led to badly warped halves in either material. (I have both)

However I read one comment a while ago that stated they changed the mold for the cannon body. They split it across the diameter so that the gun barrel was a solid piece (tube) and the back half was a solid piece.

Can anyone confirm this?

Good to know, thank you! I was holding out buying another TFC, because the one I gut sucked.
Any pics?

You could always proxy with a Rapier from Forge World... they're actually cheaper, I think.

Yeah just discovered that today. The only variable is the shipping. But they are roughly 10 US dollars cheaper.

I would much rather have 3x quad mortars. I am now considering selling my two TFCs to get funds toward a FW purchase.

I'm actually really surprised GW hasn't made a plastic kit for TFC, or a new 'better' unit, as this is a unit with pretty decent rules and a pretty old model.
