BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! DEATH TO THE BABY-KILLING ZOMBIE!
Alrighty then, now that's out of the way: I started playing at the game's inception; still have my Rogue Trader hardback, all the heinous Chaos books and miniatures from that first year of release and my painting still sucks. At the Baltimore Battle Bunker I was known as "Three Colors."
I have collected (Ed 3 values) right around 40,000 pts of Chaos Undivided made up of Khorne, World Eaters, Nurgle and guitar-playing Slaaneshi. I've never used vehicles or Daemons; theme of my army was just a Heretic band lost in the Eye collecting up the remnants of battles.
Yes, we once played a 120,000 pt 4-way: rented a professional camera boom and rigged a stretcher to it so we could move out over the 20' x 20' sand table with over 100 pieces of terrain. So, yeah, I was a 'bit' into the game in the '90s.
Loving the new rules. Was glad to hear "Overwatch" but a bit disappointed in what it was. OLD overwatch happened in your enemy's movement turn. Oh well. What else can I say about the new rules-oh yeah: UNBOUND!
I can now truly play my bits and pieces theme of non-blessed and blessed Marines fighting the evil of the baby-killing zombie. I've actually purchased vehicles!
The Psyker phase is great. Having objectives in each game really makes you have to use tactics and strategy and your army list is all-important now. BITDs it was just all about slaughtering the enemy, driving them before you and using your wife's cat as a bowling ball.
Great to be playing again after a nearly 20-year break. Motivational to see there is still interest in the hobby. CRUSH! KILL! DESTROY! ...all for the greater good, of course.
