This is the product of my first time tampering with glazes/washes to try and achieve a nice yellow for my IF, as recommended by a GW employee (sternguard bases not finished yet).
Waddya think?

Looking good there!
What about some close-ups (admittedly you can zoom in quite far) with a plain (white) background?

With the bad lighting and bad back drop it's really hard to give you C&C. Take some better pics and get back to us.

I will try to take some better pics when I can - all my spare time is mostly going into uni or further paint jobs

Much better pics! One more suggestion for taking quality pics is to NOT use the flash. Instead, use a strong steady light source applied close to the model and your white backdrop.
In terms of your work. It's a good start, and probably looks just fine on the table top, but if you want to up your game a step here are some things I would suggest you work on.
Thin your paints. Right now, they look a bit clumpy and thick and are eating up some of the model detail. This may also be in part from over priming them.
Be more accurate with your paint strokes. Currently you are way out of the lines in a lot of places on the models and because of this, they lose a lot of the edges that define the models smaller bits.
Relax with the washes. They seem slapped on and not thinned at all. It does less to pick out recesses when the model is completely slathered in wash.
Work on your highlight layers. The job you did on the captain's banner and cloak are the best bits you have done. Apply that technique to more areas of all your models. The insignias on your Termies could especially use this treatment.

Thanks for the advice! Yeah made a lot of mistakes, which I expected (never painted this way before - uses a lot of glazes over a white basecoat).
The reason for the thick coating is because I had everything undercoated black before I had decided on what chapter I wanted to paint. I then had to turn this into white >.<
Quick question: is there a simple method for highlighting white? I'd rather not use a "tinted" white as this layer shines through the yellow glazes like a beacon, so could tamper with the shade of yellow (which I love, the camera doesn't really show it but I think it's just right for the fists - not including the blotchiness on my part )
Hopefully lots of improvements will be seen in the next batch

Easiest way to highlight white is to not paint white.
Paint a very light shade of gray, and then highlight THAT with white. The gray acts as the shadows for the white and the white acts to show that the item is actually white.
Is that clear as mud?

Yellow is tough to get right but you've made a good stab at it.
Keep it up.
