Hey guys, sorry if this is in the wrong place!

I recently won 2 sets of Windriders, 2 sets of Wraithguard and a Farseer/Warlock on a Skyrunner. I don't have any other Eldar miniatures, and I've been out of wargaming for a couple of years now, so I'm pretty far behind everything. I'm trying to figure out the best way to build them, but unfortunately I don't have the codex, and my only resource is the 1d4chan site.

I'm currently thinking of assembling the Windriders with Shuriken Cannons instead of the twin-linked catapults. I'm thinking of assembling the Wraithguard kits as Wraithguards with Wraithcannons. Is this wise? I'll most likely be playing against a wide range of different armies. I do plan on expanding my army with more Windriders and a few gravtanks.

My suggestion is as follows:

Farseer Skyrunner
Windrunners with magnets to swap weapons.
Wraithguard with magnets to swap weapons (if possible, not sure how the new Wraithguard are built).

If you are looking for competitiveness, Scatter lasers are great on bikes - 4 shots at 36" plus the speed and maneuverability of bikes.
Wraithguard generally go with the D-scythes. It's slightly weaker than D-guns, but, you can generate a lot more hits since they are templates. It also makes a great charge deterrent since most players will be hesitant to charge into 10-30 automatic D hits.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
Orks always ride in single file to hide their strength and numbers.

Thanks for that.

Are the close-combat Wraithguys who come in the set any good? The miniatures themself look cool, not sure if they're actually good.

I can't really respond on the usefulness of Wraiths - I own two of the old metal wraithguard, one wraithlord and an unassembled wraithknight,

7th really is more of a shooting edition than an assault one, so the ccw Wraithguard look cool, but ultimately they probably want the ranged weapons.

I magnetised mine so I can swap between scythes and cannons (although I used a really tiny magnet in the left wrist, so they're not solid solid), although I intend making my next box with ccw's (I'm not much for power-gaming, and they do look cool).

Shame about the ccw Wraithguard! They look sick with the two swords!

Thanks for the help. Yeah, magnetising the Wraithguard looks painful, those joins are tiny.

Eldar are currently super strong. Going straight Scatterbikes and Scytheguard is technically the best but a great way for people to not want to play you.

In the scope of other armies out there there are maybe 3 Eldar units that are objectively bad. Wraithguard are fine, if you find them cool go for it. Scythe Wraithguard are just among the best units in the game as are Scatterbikes.

Basically, to win every game: Scatterbikes Farseer Scytheguard.

To have fun have a mid level army with flexibility: Shuriken Cannon bikes (or magnetized it's really easy), Autarch with Shard of Anaris on bike, Wraithblades.

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

I magnetized at the shoulder joints but skipped wrists. D-Scythes and wraithcannons look close enough that most can't tell the difference, and I can either have an axe and shield or an axe and sword. Anyone who tells me I can't play an axe and a sword as 2 swords isn't someone I want to play against anyway

Plus mixed weapons looks bad ass.
