Hi everyone : ) I wanted to show the beginnings of my Ork army. I started about six months ago using the Forgeworld Dread Mob list from Kastoral Novem, which is now out of date -_- But there are so many amazing conversion opportunities and units, so I really do hope it's updated...
I used yellow and black as the main cloures for the amry, with big black metal teeth on almost every large model to keep consistency, as well as the red squig symbol as the tribe glyph on the Big Meks banner and a few other places.
Well, I stared with a Big Mek "NazGobb" and retinue, an Oiler, counts as Boss Pole flag waver, and attack squig.

I converted a pair of Meks out of random things from my bits box. I think I messed up the yellow on the left Mek, and I forgot to take pictures of their oilers (one each). The left is attacked to a yet unfinnished Mek Guns unit and the right is the leader for a Burnaz unit which I am still working on.

I converted six Killa Kanz using the GW plastics, the ForgeWorld Grottanks, and other things. I wish I had some progress images, but it never occurred to me : /

I have never really painted rust or weathering before so I'm not sure of the quality.
I have never really liked regular Ork boys, so I have two units of 20 grots with "runtbot" herdas converted from bits.

Their units contain gretchin, squigs, and snotlings because I like variety. I have one unit finned (though the image only has six) and I have another yet to make.
I've converted four Cybork Slashaz, and a Battlewaggon (using the forgeworld BiggTrakk as a base) which are still unpainted. Other than that, I am planing a Painboy (for the Slashaz), Mek Junka, and a four armed Deff Dread to make 1500pts (out dated).

I hope everyone likes them so far, and I have a lot to go yet : ) I'm a fairly slow painter so I'm not sure when I'll update with more, but it will hopefully not be to long. Thankyou

Good stuff. I always love to see armies with a ton of Grots. Yellow is a tough color to pull off, but I think that the slightly mottled effect (i.e. what you did on the Kans and runtbot) especially work for Orks.

Thankyou : ) I used lots of varied washing and sponging. I wanted to make it look dirty and uneven. Because I hardly think that a gretchin would paint with an even coat : p
