So, my friend recently got the 'Siege of Vraks'
IA book, and one of the two formations in the back is the Vraks Renegade Unending Host - Battle-forged Detachment, which essentially makes your army into a huge meat grinder and gives you benefits for getting your own troops killed. I'd be happy to use the standard Vraks list in the same book, but you can't take the Covenant of Tzeentch, which kinda spoils the theme of my Chaos forces (who are all Tzeentch aligned, for better or for worse...).
But, looking at the rules I think I can still use the formation, but I wanted to check what you guys thought.
The restrictions for the detachment are as follows:
Slaves of Darkness: All units in this detachment (except fortifications) must have the Chaos Renegade Faction.
Unending Horde: The Army's Warlord must be a Renegade Demagogue with the Master of the Horde Devotion.
Which can both be fulfilled with the
IA13 list, as both are said to be the Chaos Renegades Faction (the Vraks list states that "The Renegades of Vraks army list is considered to be a variant of the Renegades and Heretics list presented in
IA 13 War Machines of the Lost and Damned, and is of the same Faction.") and Master of the Horde is a devotion that both lists have access to.
So would you guys be happy to play someone using the
IA13 list and a Unending Host Detachment, or not?
